National Guard Training Hours Email Approval

Dr. Hill,

As you know, I am interning with Provo Parks and Recreation and will be until August when I will be graduating. Being a member of the Army national guard is fun and rewarding but time consuming- especially when I will be in Wendover drilling with my unit for a few weeks in June. That is a considerable portion of the summer when I need to be working toward 400 hours. I will be working with the officers in the unit on planning and executing a mock natural disaster in the Salt lake area. We will be working logistical and medical situations in response to an earthquake. We will be flying (I won't be flying-yet) day and night missions from Blackhawks as well as convoys of supplies and other materials. I am wondering if there is any chance to count a portion of my time drilling to the internship requirement.

Thanks for your help.

Brad Ellertson
